PRODUCT REDESIGN · CONVERSION-LED

The product ships. The numbers don't move. A redesign fixes that.

The product ships and people use it, but conversion, engagement, or growth has stalled, and the UX is the thing holding it back. UpEquity's home-buying platform was in market when its customer flow capped conversions; a redesign rebuilt the experience around how realtors and borrowers actually move through it — and goal conversion rose 35.57%, new visitors 72.26%, with bounce rate down 69.21%.

IS THIS YOU?

Three ways an underperforming product brings clients to us.

1 Trigger

Traffic comes in, but it does not convert.

Your product is live and people land on it, but the funnel leaks. The customer flow and UX were built feature by feature and never rebuilt around how people actually move through the product — so visitors bounce before they reach the thing that matters.

UpEquity's home-buying platform was in exactly this spot: already in market, but the UX was capping conversions. A redesign that studied how realtors and borrowers really used it lifted goal conversion 35.57% and cut bounce rate 69.21%.

2 Trigger

The product grew, but the experience did not keep up.

Every release added a feature, and the interface absorbed each one without anyone stepping back to redesign the whole. Now the layout fights the user: the core actions are buried, the navigation is bolted-on, and the brand's key features are missing from the UI.

The fix is not a rewrite. UpEquity's redesign kept the platform and rebuilt the experience on top of it — service functions laid out in a visual flow, header links jumping straight to the matching section, endless scrolling cut.

3 Trigger

The numbers need to move before the next stage.

You are about to raise, scale, or hand the product to a bigger audience, and the current conversion and engagement numbers will not carry that story. The product works — it just needs to perform like the next stage demands.

A focused redesign moves the metrics that matter. After UpEquity's rebuild, new visitors rose 72.26%, returning visitors 109.96%, and goal conversion 35.57% — the kind of lift that changes what a product is ready for.

What an engagement looks like

Two weeks to know what you have. Then a team that builds it.

Step 1

2-week diagnostic

A senior engineer and product lead read the code, talk to your team, and write up exactly what we’d do in the first 90 days. You keep the document either way.

Step 2

3–9 month embedded team

A team of 3–5 senior engineers, product, and design slots into your stand-ups, your repo, and your roadmap. We run the build; you run the company.

Step 3

Weekly demos, monthly retros

You see working software every Friday. Every month we sit down and decide what the team works on next — and what we stop doing.

  • Fixed monthly retainer — no surprise invoices, no hourly games.
  • You own the code from day one. Repo, infra, accounts — all in your name.
  • A named tech lead who shows up on every call. Not a rotating bench.

UpEquity: a redesign that moved the numbers.

UpEquity's home-buying platform was already in market when the numbers flattened. The product worked, but its customer flow and UX were holding conversions back — the experience had grown feature by feature and was never rebuilt around the people using it.

Rather than throw out the platform, the redesign studied how realtors and borrowers actually moved through each element and built on that signal: service functions laid out in a visual flow, header links jumping straight to the matching section, endless scrolling cut. After the rebuild, goal conversion rose 35.57%, new visitors 72.26%, returning visitors 109.96%, and bounce rate dropped 69.21%.

Situation
A live home-buying platform whose customer flow and UX were capping conversions.
Redesign
The experience rebuilt around how realtors and borrowers actually move through it.
Outcome
+35.57% goal conversion, +72.26% new visitors, −69.21% bounce rate.
What we don’t do

Saying no to the wrong work is how we stay good at the right work.

  • No hourly staff augmentation.

We don’t rent out engineers by the hour. Engagements are fixed-scope teams with a named tech lead, billed monthly.

  • No white-label subcontracting for marketing agencies.

We don’t hide behind another agency’s logo. If our work ships under your brand, our name is on the contract.

  • No pre-seed co-founder-for-equity.

We build software for funded teams that can pay. We are not your technical co-founder in exchange for a slice of the cap table.

  • No RFPs or public-sector procurement.

We don’t respond to vendor questionnaires or 90-page RFPs. If your buying process needs that, we are not the right fit.

Q&A

UX/UI questions clients ask before redesign.

What is UI design and do I even need it?

Design should complement your product, engage your customers, and meet your business goals. It is not an art form standing alone, and being its own purpose. UX/UI design is a visual and logical engine to propel your digital product to meet your KPIs and ROI.

I have a brand book, can you apply it to my app?

Branding is extremely important for your product. Your clients recognize the message and your style. That's why we will make sure the new hand-offs will be implemented seamlessly into your product.

What if I don't like my colors?

Did you have any customer complaints? Do you need a brand update, or just a new system of application of your brand colors? There are multiple options of how to handle the issue, based on the core problem.

Can I see more options?

UI (User interface) design is what your customers see, and closely connected to the User Experience (how your customers use your product). While designing, it is crucial to take into account how your product is used. What are your business goals? For example, is your goal to convert more sales? We can work on multiple variations to meet desired goals.

What if my brand doesn't have specifications for the web?

Brand books sometimes miss the RGB or HEX colors matching your Pantone brand color, or list of icons, or other necessary assets. We can add missing fonts while designing your digital product.

I already have a Figma file, now what?

In case you already have a Figma file done by your designer, we will make an audit of the file and let you know if it covers all the necessary hand-off assets for the development.

I'm missing some photos or diagrams, can you cover it?

Yes, we can provide new images, and deliver them for your approval.

Why do I even need redesign, it looks pretty ok?

Redesign is a business process. Whether you want more returning customers or longer engagement time, the key is to define the end goal. Investment into redesign should be visible in your business results.
