Senior product team embedded in your company.
IS THIS YOU?

When founders bring us in as their product team.

We're not a staff-aug shop and we're not a growth agency. We're the senior team you embed when the product needs to keep moving and hiring one can't happen fast enough. If one of these reads like your week, we should talk.

  • 01

You're scaling faster than you can hire.

You have traction, a roadmap, and a runway — but recruiting a full senior team takes months you don't have. The work is waiting on people you haven't found yet.

    WHAT WE DO

Embed a team of 3–5 senior people who own delivery from week one, while you keep hiring at your own pace — or decide you don't need to.

  • 02

Your in-house team is stretched thin.

A founder and a couple of engineers are carrying the whole product. Velocity is slipping, the roadmap keeps getting pushed, and everyone is one incident away from burning out.

    WHAT WE DO

Slot a senior team in alongside the people you have — same stand-ups, same repo — so the roadmap moves at the pace the business needs.

  • 03

You want senior judgment, not just hands.

You've been burned by staff-aug bodies who wait to be told exactly what to do. You need people who push back, own outcomes, and can be trusted with the product.

    WHAT WE DO

A named tech lead and a team that has shipped together before — they bring the judgment, not just the capacity.

HOW THE ENGAGEMENT RUNS

Two weeks to know what you have.
Then a team that builds it.

Every engagement starts with a fixed-scope, fixed-fee diagnostic. You leave with a written assessment in 14 days — whether or not we ever build together. No long discoveries, no open-ended retainers, no surprise invoices. The same engagement shape ran Engine by MoneyLion for three years on the same team.

STEP 01

2-week diagnostic

A senior engineer and product lead read the code, talk to your team, and write up exactly what we'd do in the first 90 days. You keep the document either way.

Fixed fee · 14 days
STEP 02

3–9 month embedded team

A team of 3–5 senior engineers, product, and design slots into your stand-ups, your repo, and your roadmap. We run the build; you run the company.

Monthly retainer
STEP 03

Weekly demos, monthly retros

You see working software every Friday. Every month we sit down and decide what the team works on next — and what we stop doing.

Always reversible
PRICING

Fixed monthly retainer. No surprise invoices, no hourly games, no ramp-up fees.

OWNERSHIP

You own the code from day one. Repo, infra, accounts — all in your name.

PEOPLE

A named tech lead who shows up on every call. Not a rotating bench.

PROOF

An embedded team that founders kept, in their words.

Engine by MoneyLion is the embedded-team engagement in full — a senior product team that owned delivery alongside the founders. Named clients, full project breakdowns, independently reviewed on Clutch.

They are very goal-oriented and they definitely get the job done. Kodius understood what we needed and delivered.

Kodius was really instrumental in building Cosmic Frog and getting the product to General Availability.

I was so impressed at their ability to understand our rather unique business.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

What an embedded product team actually is.

Not staff augmentation, not a black-box agency. Here's the concrete shape of the engagement — the same one that ran Optilogic / Cosmic Frog to General Availability — so you can tell exactly what you'd be buying.

  • A named tech lead

One senior lead owns your roadmap and shows up on every call — not a rotating bench, not a project manager relaying messages.

  • 3–5 senior people, one team

Engineers, product, and design who have shipped together before — not strangers assembled for your project.

  • Your repo, your accounts, your IP

You own the code from day one. Repo, infrastructure, and accounts are all in your name — nothing to claw back later.

  • Fixed monthly retainer

One predictable number. No hourly games, no ramp-up fees, no surprise invoices.

  • Working software every Friday

You see real progress weekly, not a status deck. Every month we decide together what the team builds next.

  • Always reversible

Month to month. If it stops being the right call, you're not locked into a long contract to get out.

QUESTIONS

What founders ask before bringing in an embedded team.

The honest answers — the same ones you'd get on a call.

How is this different from staff augmentation?

Staff-aug rents you bodies by the hour and waits to be told what to do. An embedded product team is a fixed team with a named tech lead that owns delivery and outcomes — billed as one monthly retainer, not a timesheet.

Can you work alongside our existing in-house engineers?

Yes — that's the common case. We join your stand-ups and your repo and split the roadmap with your team. We can also run delivery end-to-end if you don't have engineers yet. Either way works.

What does the 2-week diagnostic cost, and what do we get?

It's a fixed fee, scoped before we start. You get a written assessment of the codebase and a plan for the first 90 days — and you keep that document whether or not we build together.

How long is a typical engagement?

Three to nine months is typical, on a monthly retainer. It's reversible month to month — we'd rather keep earning the engagement than lock you into a long contract.

What happens when the engagement ends?

You own everything already — the code, the repo, the accounts. When the team rolls off, your people inherit a codebase they can read and a roadmap they can run, and we hand over deliberately rather than disappearing.
